Parents & Coaches

Hello! If you are a parent and want to know more about coaching and getting involved in that capacity, you can find out more HERE.  If you just want to get a better idea of what is expected of you as a parent or coach, please continue reading below.

Parents are kindly asked for your full support and trust of the programs and its processes. We will be the class of youth sports and set the example for our girls: let the coaches coach, let the players play, and let the refs ref. It's ALL about our girls! There are two things that are off limits for parents to talk to coaches about: 1) Football Strategies and 2) Playing time. Coaches will do their best to put their team in the best position to succeed. If you are interested in coaching, there will be a questionnaire when registering your daughter(s) that will notify us to reach out to you and talk more about you being a coach.

Coaches have the responsibility to uphold the GPFF mission statement to its fullest. Coaches will provide a safe and inviting atmosphere of positivity and fun to learn this great sport of football. Culture is king and  coaches set that tone where the players become an extension of them. Coaches will be held to the highest of standards, with absolutely no cursing, arguing with officials, or yelling at players. It is our job to lead these girls by example and be role models for them. Always remember it's about our girls, not us. It's about creating a memorable experiences that last a life time and lessons that can be taken away with them.  A coach is the only person allowed to talk to a ref about a call, and it's done so respectfully.

Coaches will run one practice during the week before GAMEDAY and must warm-up their players up and practice with them  beforehand on GAMEDAY.

Coaches are expected to know all of the in season rules of flag as well as the rules during playoff tournament. A coach's meeting will be conducted before the season starts for processes and procedures.

You can find out more about our in season rules HERE.
